OnAir is a leading provider of inflight communications, enabling passengers to use their own GSM mobile phone or smartphone (e.g. BlackBerry, iPhone, iPad, HTC) to stay connected while flying. Onboard communications are automatically invoiced by the passenger’s mobile operator as international roaming charges.

OnAir ensures that all passengers can use the service, regardless of their country of residence, by establishing agreements with over 300 GSM mobile operators throughout the world. Signed agreements, to date, cover about two billion subscribers. Present on four of five continents, OnAir’s solution is available on Airbus and Boeing aircraft as well as corporate and governmental jets.

OnAir was the first Distribution Partner of Inmarsat fourth-generation SwiftBroadband global satellite connectivity. With 250,000 flights flown to date to 300 cities in 75 countries, OnAir has accumulated extensive SwiftBroadband experience in the industry and was awarded greatest contributor to SwiftBroadband growth by Inmarsat in 2009.

OnAir was incorporated in February 2005 and is owned by SITA, a leading IT solution provider to the air transport world and Airbus, a leading aircraft manufacturer.

OnAir is a member of the GSM Association, the Middle East Business Aviation Association (MEBAA) and the European Business Aviation Association (EBAA).
