In April 2011, a new joint venture IDAIR was formed by Lufthansa Technik and Panasonic Avionics Corporation. Headquartered in Hamburg, Germany, IDAIR offers highly customised products and systems for the aviation industry.

IDAIR is a one-stop shop for tailored products and systems for both VIP customers and commercial airlines that are looking for something beyond the norm. IDAIR introduces a seamlessly integrated in-flight entertainment (IFE), communications and cabin management system (CMS) incorporating the latest technologies such as high definition, digital rights management, wireless and wired Ethernet, passenger device integration, iPhone/iPad applications for system control, and much more.

In addition to the abundance of configurations available to VIPs for their entertainment and cabin management needs, IDAIR also offers a satellite broadband internet and TV solution with global coverage along with the option of mobile telephony. Beyond communication offerings, a vast array of entertainment content can be provided to customers looking to maintain a media library on board.

Using the synergies of its parent companies, IDAIR provides worldwide support as well as engineering and certification assistance to ensure the timely delivery of systems and smooth entry into service. Work has already begun on the company’s first VIP aircraft installations, the first of which are due to enter service in 2012.

IDAIR’s experienced employees offer personal consulting to fulfil your unique wishes. Please contact sales director Kerry Farrish (contact information above) for further inquiries and information.
