New SMP-L push-on connector series with Secure-Lok

Carlisle Interconnect Technologies has announced a new family of push-on connectors, SMP-LTM, which incorporate a patent-pending locking mechanism called Secure-Lok. The locking feature is designed to add a strong retention force to the standard Push-On connector. The locking mechanism does not require any additional tools to engage or disengage the connector. The SMP-L connector series is also designed to have a reduced weight and size to accommodate dense packaging of RF/microwave systems.

The SMP-LTM is compatible with the entire SMP connector line. Sealed IP67 compliant designs are also available. The company says the SMP-L connectors are suitable for use in radars, military radios, missiles, guided munitions, space, and industrial applications. SMP-L with Secure-Lok features a frequency range of DC - 40GHz.

Carlisle Interconnect Technologies also recently announced that two connector distributors – Richardson RFPD and RFMW – now have inventory and full design support capabilities for both the TMP and WMP push-on connector series.
