AP On Air launches range of designer cocktails

AP On Air has launched a range of freshly blended cocktails for service on executive flights. Launched in partnership with London-based specialist Pontoon Cocktails, a menu of seven mixes will be offered to flight attendants along with the regular food and beverage menu. Heritage spirits, herb-based products and freshly pressed juices combine to produce classics like the Cosmopolitan, as well as bespoke AP On Air choices such as the Sora, Gotham, Autumn and Zephyr, featuring ingredients such as orgeat, plum liqueur, damson jam syrup, cranberry-infused vodka and peach and cherry bitters. The menu also includes non-alcoholic mocktails.

The drinks are made from fresh ingredients such as hand-pressed juices, infusions and syrups, and are delivered frozen to maintain freshness. Each individual drink is packed in a pouch and is accompanied by the relevant garnish and flash card with serving instructions, mirroring AP On Air’s inflight catering methodology. The company believes the offering enables cocktails to be served on all aircraft, because they are easy to store and ready to serve.

“The quality and freshness of the ingredients is highly appealing to us and will be, we hope, to our customers,” said Daniel Hulme, managing director of AP On Air. “It sits very well with the AP On Air concept and is part of our continual aim to offer clients even more options when it comes to their inflight experience. We anticipate that the cocktail menu will appeal to a wide range of clients and prove most popular on flights departing for leisure destinations such as Las Vegas and the slopes.”

Clients will be required to order a minimum of five cocktails per flight.
