Rockwell Collins breaks ground for R&D facility in Reading, UK

Rockwell Collins is enhancing its presence and investment in the UK with a new center of excellence in Reading to support its commercial and military customers.

In June 2015, Rockwell Collins plans to relocate from its current Reading base to a new facility at Winnersh Triangle, Reading. This facility has been designed to facilitate the development of advanced technology, particularly in the field of satellite navigation, networking and other government systems.

The building will feature 40,000ft² of laboratory facilities with research and development space, plus 30,000ft² of offices over three floors hosting engineering, business development, program management and shared service functions. This move means that Rockwell Collins will invest US$34m over the next 15 years in facility-related costs alone.
