ACJC delivers ACJ319 that is 10% lighter than contracted

Airbus Corporate Jet Centre (ACJC) has delivered a VVIP ACJ319 cabin to an Asian customer that is lighter than the contractual commitment. The client wanted to be able to fly from southern Asia to Los Angeles, USA, so achieving a lightweight cabin was important - the aircraft is 10% lighter than contractually required.

The cabin has a wireless system architecture, based on a new full internet protocol (IP) and wi-fi configuration, driving the CMS and IFE. In addition, the width of the cabin lining is reduced. Tablets can be used for streaming music and video via a new full HD AVOD system.

The cabin can accommodate 15 passengers. The layout includes a double office and a lounge at the front, followed by a dining area and then a VIP bedroom and en-suite bathroom with a square shower.

“This lightweight but full comfort cabin was a great challenge,” said Sylvain Mariat, head of ACJC’s creative design studio. One example of how the center met the customer’s requirements is the dining tables. “The stands are composite-based, combining futuristic design and lightness,” Mariat said.

“The best proof of ACJC’s expertise and innovative spirit was the compliment of our customer when he entered his ACJ, telling us that his cabin was a realization of the 3D artistic views showed at the beginning of the story,” said ACJC’s general manager, Joël Frugier. “The customer had before him the cabin he had dreamt of, confirming that ACJC was the natural choice for his ACJ.”
