ACJC delivers ACJ319 to Asian customer

A client in Asia has taken delivery of an ACJ319 designed and outfitted by Airbus Corporate Jet Centre (ACJC). The project was concluded ahead of time. The aircraft has an atypical layout, with a design inspired by art deco interiors on luxurious trains.

“Our customer required the most complex interior – in terms of ergonomics and kinematics – that we have ever designed,” said Sylvain Mariat, head of ACJC’s creative design studio. “To welcome his guests in the way that he wanted, we created five full-height individual private areas, including a private office, with ingenious storage spaces and high-tech personal devices. As far as I know, this is the first ACJ with full-height private mini suites that required their own specific certification.”

To balance these individual areas, ACJC designed a wide and light main lounge, with a parlor area for two passengers.

“Our customer wanted a zone of intimacy in this vast entourage area, so we conceived a compartment based on mid-height partitions, with a sliding door,” said Mariat. “It gives the feeling of sitting in a historic train traveling toward Asia.”

The cabin also features a crew rest area, a cinema for two passengers, and a master bedroom with an en-suite bathroom that has a square shower. All these areas include modular monuments – for example there is a two-place divan in the master bedroom, which can be converted into a low table with two VIP seats; and two bars hidden behind mirrors, with their own dedicated mechanisms.

Certificated for 19 passengers, the cabin offers 15 lie-flat seats, which are electrically actuated and can be controlled from a tablet. The CMS and IFE are based on a wireless architecture.

“Building on the deliveries of two previous ACJs to customers in Asia this year, this third success is the result of ACJC’s expertise combined with its ability to propose a creative design that met the Asian client’s specific requirements,” said Joël Frugier, general manager at ACJC.
