Robinson brothers target VIP completion business

Jeff, Joe and Mark Robinson, the brothers who founded Robinson Aircraft Interiors almost 14 years ago, have announced ambitious plans that will see the brand become a division of a new parent company, Robinson Aerospace.

The firm is moving to a new facility at Fort Worth Alliance Airport in Texas, with the aim to become a key player in the completion and modification of VVIP and head-of-state aircraft and business jets.

The company expects to gain an FAA 145 Repair Station License later in 2017, and plans to offer green interior completions, retrofits, refreshes, in-house veneer replacement, design services and more. “We will also offer full MRO services to our clients as well as a complete design department – giving us the full range of services we were unable to offer in our old facility,” said Joe Robinson, vice president, Robinson Aerospace.

“We are now at an airport where our customers can fly directly into our facility,” said Jeff Robinson, president at Robinson Aerospace.

The company is also rolling out a new veneer product, Solid Space, developed with Jason Crapo of Hi Tech Veneer. The product can be made from almost any species of wood and has passed 65/65 burn requirements. The brothers say it affords enhanced production and installation processes, cutting the downtime needed to replace veneer by at least 40%.
