Jet Aviation details ACJ330 and ACJ319 completions

Jet Aviation has announced two recent design and completion projects undertaken by its facility in Basel, Switzerland, for a customer in the Middle East. An ACJ319 was completed in a 10-month downtime, and an ACJ330 took 14 months.

“We were delighted to be able to deliver these aircraft in October 2016 and February 2017, bringing our total collaboration with the customer to three aircraft,” said Joshua Florio, project manager, Jet Aviation Completions.

Despite their custom designs and high-end finishes, both cabins came in under the customer’s weight target.

The customer wanted the ACJ330 to be able to fly from Riyadh to Los Angeles, which has been achieved. The cabin sound level was another important factor, and the final aircraft has inflight dBSIL readings in the mid-40s. Jet Aviation collaborated with Gulfstream to develop technology that enables “extremely accurate” sound prediction and targeted sound proofing.

The ACJ330 design puts a contemporary twist on traditional Arabic motifs and colors. Material highlights include silk wall coverings, gold plating, smoked oak, Macassar and Zebrano woods, and mother of pearl.

Custom details include starlight ceilings that represent the position of constellations above Riyadh when the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia was founded in 1932. Areas on board include a master suite with office, a guest suite, VVIP seating areas, aft guest seating, and 10 VIP mini-suites. The mini-suites were designed and developed by Jet Aviation. They have sliding doors and the seats offer three settings ranging from upright to fully flat.

The ACJ319 has a more flexible design, incorporating a majlis area for eight, a guest lavatory, mid bedroom with en-suite bathroom, and flexible-format seating in the aft.
