Phenom 300E certification paves the way for first delivery

The FAA, EASA and ANAC, the Brazilian civil aviation agency, have granted type certification to the Phenom 300E, enabling Embraer to make its first delivery of the new light jet. The aircraft was unveiled at NBAA-BACE in October 2017. The new model builds upon its predecessor, the Phenom 300, with a completely new cabin and the inclusion of Lufthansa Technik’s nice HD CMS/IFE.

“We are thrilled to deliver the first Phenom 300E on schedule, only five months after its launch, with overwhelming positive reviews from customers and the market,” said Michael Amalfitano, president and CEO, Embraer Executive Jets.

The first Phenom 300E delivery was made to a return customer for Embraer. “The Phenom 300E is an elegant and comfortable aircraft that is the best match for our travel needs throughout Africa,” said John McCormick, a South African businessman. “The interior architecture and design are modern and all the customization options allowed us to make the aircraft perfect for us. The Phenom 300 has served us quite well and we’re even more excited to fly the Phenom 300E.”

Embraer has applied its DNA design, first seen in the Legacy 450 and 500 mid-size jets, to create the new Phenom 300E cabin. It is designed for greater spaciousness – with wider aisles and increased cabin space – customization and maintainability. As well as new sideledge, sidewall and valance designs, the cabin has new seats and tables.

The seats were designed and engineered by Embraer and are manufactured by its in-house seating supplier, Embraer Aero Seating Technologies. The design features a broader back, an extendable headrest with bolsters, retractable armrest and extendable leg rests.

A standout feature of the cabin is the upper technology panel, which runs along the centerline of the ceiling. As well as presenting flight information, the panel incorporates CMS controls, ambient moodlighting and new flush gaspers. There is also an option for two swing-down 7in IFE displays. Passengers can also access flight information on their PEDs, through Bluetooth connectivity.
