Heron Aviation has added a second Citation Mustang to its AOC. Registered in Spain, the aircraft will be based in Madrid and used for charter in the Iberian and Mediterranean region. The aircraft has a contemporary cabin configured with four seats. It has a range of over 1,800km (3,333 nautical miles) and a cruising speed over 600km/h (373mph).
Heron Aviation says the aircraft was incorporated onto its AOC in record time under the provisions of ICAO Article 83 bis, serving as a testament to strong regulatory cooperation between Germany and other European nations. Heron Aviation has three aircraft incorporated under Article 83 bis.
“Incorporating this second aircraft under our Spanish headquarters, we have continually refined our relationships with regulators on both sides,” said Martin Helbling, accountable manager at Heron Aviation. “As we work closely to develop these agreements, we are really uncovering the unique possibilities of this consolidating regulatory environment, allowing us to bring real advantages to our clients. Heron Aviation is helping to drive the cutting edge of European aviation, and we are excited to bring the benefits of this unique Article 83 bis to participating nations.”
