F/List boosted its aftermarket network in the EMEA region by taking over an ACC Columbia upholstery plant in Erfurt, Germany, on 1 February 2021.
The upholstery operations were absorbed by F/List Germany. With its site at Berlin Schönefeld Airport, F/List Germany offers exterior and interior cleaning services, as well as refurbishment for private and business aircraft. It caters for customers across Europe and the Middle East.
ACC Columbia is a maintenance company for private and business jets. It is based in Hannover, Germany, with additional sites in Cologne and Erfurt. While the Hannover base maintains Bombardier, Embraer, Falcon, Gulfstream and Cessna jets, the Erfurt site is mainly responsible for seat upholstery services.
For F/List, the Erfurt site holds strategic importance, as it generates additional capacity for processing orders faster and more efficiently, enabling it to offer the best possible service.
Going forward, ACC Columbia will focus on its core business of aircraft maintenance. F/List will be an independent partner for cabin refurbishment – for example, revitalising interior surfaces, repairing cabin components, upholstering seating in leather or other materials, and revamping interior cabin linings.

As a company built on craftsmanship, F/List has been committed to training apprentices in-house for more than 70 years. With two master leather workers employed at the Erfurt site, F/List is now in a position to offer training to apprentices in upholstery and leather work for the very first time in Germany.
“Skilled craftspeople are at the heart of what we do; they are the basis of our existence,” said List-Nagl. “Around 340 apprentices have been trained here since the company was founded in 1950 ‒ and many of them are still employed at the company.”
