Greenpoint Technologies has delivered a VVIP B787-9 interior completion, for an undisclosed client. The aircraft was modified eight months faster than the first VVIP B787-8.
Greenpoint said the project was the first such VVIP completion for the B787-9. The company has now completed five VVIP B787 interior completions to date. It applied detailed planning and processes – as well as its 10-year knowledge base of complex B787 systems and structures – to expedite this latest delivery.
The company crafted the bespoke B787-9 cabin in collaboration with the client’s representatives, balancing the latest systems and technology with meticulous interior design detail. Greenpoint managed the completion from conception through redelivery, including the design, engineering and integration of the custom-built interior.
The main cabin caters to the client’s distinct needs with private VIP areas and an expansive, multifunctional living space featuring woven fabrics, wood veneers and intricate metallic details complemented by soft, indirect lighting. The result showcases the client’s individual style and is designed to the highest calibre, and robustly engineered to meet the mission requirements.
“Greenpoint is grateful for the opportunity to partner with such an amazing client, and we are delighted to redeliver our first Boeing 787-9 completion in record time,” said Klaus Koester, CEO of Greenpoint Technologies. “This historical achievement is a testament to our team’s dedication, attention to detail, and VVIP completion expertise. We look forward to applying this expertise to future VVIP projects.”
