Cirrus Aircraft, in collaboration with Garmin International, announced that the National Civil Aviation Agency (ANAC) of Brazil has granted type certificate approval to the Vision Jet Safe Return Emergency Autoland system.
Safe Return Emergency Autoland, enabled by Garmin’s Collier autoland technology, allows passengers to autonomously land the Vision Jet with the touch of a single button in the event of an emergency.
“Receiving ANAC certification for the Vision Jet’s Safe Return is a tremendous milestone for our Brazilian owners and operators,” said Zean Nielsen, CEO of Cirrus Aircraft. “We are excited to continue offering this award-winning safety technology throughout the world.”
With this new type certificate, new Vision Jet exports and certain aircraft already in Brazil can now have Safe Return enabled for use.
Safe Return Emergency Autoland was previously certified by the FAA in August 2020 and by EASA in July 2021. The Vision Jet also offers the Collier-winning Cirrus Airframe Parachute System (CAPS).
