Three companies involved in business jet exterior customisation β Happy Design Studio, Adhetec and General Atomics AeroTec Systems β are joining forces to generate more possibilities for customers. Business jet owners will be able to implement complex, large-scale liveries combining paint and decals.
The partnersβ first joint project was the Carboneum Experience, which involved implementing a carbon design on a Bombardier Global.
The three companies will be exhibiting at EBACE 2023, to be held on 23-25 May in Geneva, Switzerland, at booth W105.
The Carboneum Experience design was created by French award-winning designer Didier Wolf of Happy Design Studio. The German business jet service centre General Atomics AeroTec Systems was selected by the first client to realise the design. The main challenge for the company was the finished look of materials, in particular the carbon (air-brushed) and honeycomb texture. Three full weeks, more than 2,500 hours of work, and a team of 30 people were required to complete the first livery on a Global 6000.
Winner of the European Product Design Award, the Carboneum livery design was reproduced a few years later on Global 5500. The carbon texture was applied onto the vertical stabiliser by Adhetec using an exclusive decals technology and 3D projection capabilities.
The team offers end-to-end solutions for business jet exterior customisation, from the creation of the liveries to the paint application, 3D projection capabilities, large-scale decals and stencils.
Exclusive liveries by Happy Design will be realised at General Atomics AeroTec Systems in Oberpfaffenhofen, in collaboration with Adhetec, in a single downtime. Other upgrades and inspections can be done at the same time.
