Digital documentation specialist Web Manuals aims to change the way aviation businesses handle large, complex OEM PDF files with the launch of its OEM PDF Reader.
Users of Embraer, Boeing or general OEM PDF manuals can upload multiple files at once, combining hundreds of pages and PDF files into a single document. Web Manuals will automatically file details such as document name, short code, and revision information, while keeping the modular structure and ensuring simple, user-intuitive navigation, the company said.
Web Manuals continued that document editors can highlight changes and connect a ‘Revision Bar’ to them to clearly display updates, while reviewers can swiftly navigate amendments to ensure they are efficiently tracked and implemented.
The tool is designed in the familiar layout and with the same functionalities as other file types, Web Manuals said, adding that operators can feel assured that all OEM PDF documentation complies with regulations and quality standards, while minimising the risk of human error.
“Having a unified OEM PDF document management system allows users to access a broader range of files via Web Manuals, streamlining workflows and boosting operational efficiency,” said Richard Sandström, chief technology officer at Web Manuals. “Consolidating extensive OEM PDF documentation into one digital platform and simplifying navigation will be key to empowering our customers to manage OEM PDF documentation more effectively.”
The OEM PDF Reader will be launched in the Web Manuals Core 2024.10 update, due for release in Q4 2024.
