Aero-Dienst GmbH, the Nuremberg full-service provider for business aviation and air ambulance services, has been certified by the General Civil Aviation Authority (GCAA) of the United Arab Emirates (UAE) as an Approved Maintenance Organisation (AMO).
This approval clears Aero-Dienst to carry out a wide range of maintenance, repair and refurbishment work on business jets registered in the UAE at its headquarters in Nuremberg.
The application for a GCAA CAR 145 certificate represented another step forward along the path of the growth strategy that Aero-Dienst has been pursuing for years. Both the number of flight movements and the number of aircraft stationed in the region have been steadily increasing for years.
Despite the challenges posed by political tensions in the region, this growth is continuing unabated, so Aero-Dienst anticipates continued high demand for MRO services in the coming years.
The UAE approval enables Aero-Dienst to respond to specific customer requirements on the one hand, and on the other, to enhance its presence in the regional market.
“We are very pleased to have received approval from the UAE Civil Aviation Authority and expect a marked increase in demand for maintenance services for Emirates business jets at our main Nuremberg location,” says Daniel Pedreiro Correia, strategic customer relations manager & business development manager at Aero-Dienst. “The CAR 145 certification underlines once again our commitment to the highest standards of quality and procedures that we provide to our customers.”
Aero-Dienst currently holds approvals for its maintenance and development operations from 11 national aviation authorities.
In addition to its headquarters in Nuremberg, Aero-Dienst also operates stations in Austria (Vienna and Klagenfurt) and a maintenance station near Munich in Oberpfaffenhofen that was set up three years ago. Its component shop in Landsberg am Lech allows Aero-Dienst to provide local repairs for maintenance operators in Europe, the Middle East and Africa.
