Pilatus married the fuselage and wings of the first PC-24 destined for a customer, on July 12, 2017. George Antoniadis, president and CEO of launch customer PlaneSense, made the journey from the USA to Switzerland to witness the milestone. The next stage will see technicians install the cabin and commission and test aircraft systems.
“We are now looking forward with great anticipation and tremendous pride to the very first customer handover later this year when PlaneSense will take delivery of their PC-24 and we witness the entry into service of our Super Versatile Jet,” said André Zimmermann, vice president, PC-24, Pilatus.
PlaneSense is a fractional ownership business based in the USA, with a fleet of 34 PC-12s, and six PC-24s on order. Pilatus says the first PC-24 will be delivered straight after certification, targeted for the fourth quarter of 2017.
A key selling point of the aircraft is its ability to use short or unpaved runways. It offers a cargo door as standard.
