Water-based paint specialist Mapaero is celebrating its 25th anniversary.
The company was founded in 1992 in Pamiers, France, by Jean François Brachotte, a pilot and chemical engineer. The company’s paints achieved Airbus certification in 2001. By the end of 2016 the company had grown to employ 110 people.
Mapaero’s primary market is interior coatings, but it plans to offer more exterior coating solutions soon. It is also seeking a partner with which to establish a new production facility in the USA.
Meanwhile, €7m (US$8m) is being invested to open a new commercial, customer support and administrative building in Pamiers, and extend the existing R&D offices and production plant.
