The 3,000th Bombardier Learjet – also the 100th Learjet 75 to be delivered – has been accepted by Leggett & Platt of Carthage, Missouri. The aircraft was assembled in Wichita, Kansas.
The first Learjet, the Learjet 23, was introduced more than 50 years ago. The company was acquired by Bombardier in 1990, leading to the launch of the Learjet 45 in 1997. Today’s Learjet 70 and Learjet 75 jets are derived from the Learjet 40 XR and Learjet 45 XR.
The Learjet 75 is a light jet configured with a double-club layout, and boasting a flat floor and LED lighting throughout the cabin, a pocket door for reduced noise, a new CMS with individual touchscreen monitors and full audio and video control. The aircraft has a range greater than 2,000 nautical miles. Learjet aircraft are certified to Part 25 airworthiness standards.
