An STC developed in-house by AMAC for JetWave on the B737 is now available. This enables AMAC to install JetWave, which enables connection to Inmarsat’s JetConneX high-speed satellite service to provide a ‘home-equivalent’ connectivity on all B737 aircraft types.
The STCs for aircraft models B777 and A340-600 will be added to AMAC’s list of available STCs in 2017; the STC for the A340-500 was issued in May 2017.
“Only a few MROs and completion centers develop the STCs for satcom installations in-house, which give us significant advantages considering the increasing demand on satcom installations on various aircraft types,” said Eric Hoegen, sales and key account manager at AMAC Aerospace.
