Marking the opening of ABACE 2017 (held in Shanghai, China, on April 11-13), Flying Colours Corp has announced that its Singapore interior service facility experienced 40% annual growth. The facility opened three years ago at Bombardier Business Aircraft’s service center at Seletar Airport, Singapore.
“We are excited by this year’s progress,” said Eric Gillespie, executive vice president, Flying Colours Corp. “We’ve also added, and are training, four new team members, bringing our total workforce to 18, to ensure we maintain the required capacity and standards.”
The facility has completed more than 50 interior projects since ABACE 2016 – most involving refinishing cabinetry and refurbishing or repairing soft furnishings. “Mobile repairs are also part of the services we offer and have proved popular as they reduce costs and downtime for the owner,” said Gillespie. “The market is getting more sophisticated and savvy aircraft owners, and buyers, are realizing that refurbishment and overhaul can be a good choice for their needs.”
Meanwhile, the company’s facilities in North America have delivered five overhauled aircraft to owners in the region – two converted CRJ200s for Resorts World of Malaysia, and two corporate shuttles and one executive/VIP aircraft for Sparkle Roll of China. Two more aircraft are in the pipeline for Sparkle Roll. All these projects involved extensive maintenance and interior overhauls.
The company also revealed it is in talks with an Asian client regarding its ability to integrate pre-designed components from Inairvation.
