The Civil Aviation Administration of China has awarded type certificate validation to the Gulfstream G650 and G650ER, one of the last steps before an aircraft can be registered in a country. The G650 is now certified for 26 countries, and the G650ER for 16.
“The G650 and G650ER demonstrate real-world capability that our customers value,” said Scott Neal, senior vice president, worldwide sales, Gulfstream. “As business aviation needs in the Asia-Pacific region continue to increase, we are pleased to offer our customers in China the safety, performance and reliability that the G650 and G650ER offer.”
The G650 can travel 7,000 nautical miles at Mach 0.85 – a range stretched by the G650ER to 7,500 nautical miles at the same speed.
Highlights of the cabins include wide seats, 16 windows, 100% fresh air and inflight connectivity. Gulfstream also says the aircraft feature the lowest cabin altitude of any business jet, and the quietest cabins.
