328 Support Services (328) and Duncan Aviation recently partnered to complete and certify a Bombardier Challenger 604 interior project. The Finnish-registered aircraft was delivered to the customer on time in December 2016.
328 was responsible for verifying all the engineering data involved in the project, as well as certifying the modification with a new EASA Part 21 minor change approval. Duncan Aviation undertook the production, installation and testing at its facility in Battle Creek, Michigan, USA.
The cabin includes new gray carpet throughout the flight deck, galley, cabin and entrance hallway; flight deck crew seats and an entry jump seat; cabin and conference seating newly upholstered in pale cream leather; coordinating upper sidewall/window panels in pale cream; and a right-hand Corian countertop in gray and white.
This was the two companies’ 31st collaboration over the past three years. In addition to the Challenger series, 328 Design has collaborated with Duncan Aviation on EASA STC and Part 21 minor change approvals for models including the Bombardier Global Express; Dassault Falcon 900EX, 2000 and 7X; and Cessna Citation 560XL. “We look forward to starting work on some other projects together in 2017,” said Jörg Gorkenant, chief operating officer and head of 328 Design.
