On December 21, 2016, Sukhoi Civil Aircraft obtained EASA approval for the Sukhoi Superjet 100 Long Range (SSJ100LR), enabling deliveries to foreign customers. The authorities approved changes to the type certificate providing an increase in take-off weight and flight range. The aircraft has a range of 4,578km – a 50% increase over the basic version.
SSJ100LR aircraft have been operated in Russia since 2014. Sukhoi Business Jet and special-purpose versions also have the increased flight range.
