November 23, 2016 – Pentastar Aviation has appointed Barry Tilson as director of maintenance, responsible for leading the maintenance, avionics and interior department’s customer satisfaction standards, compliance with regulatory requirements, and delivery of company financial objectives.
Tilson brings years of expertise in aircraft mechanics, inspections, customer service and maintenance sales, most recently working as an MRO maintenance sales representative and service manager at TechnicAir and Landmark Aviation in Grand Rapids, USA. Prior to that he was director of maintenance at Northern Air in Grand Rapids.
Tilson earned his Applied Science Degree in Aviation Maintenance Technology from Lansing Community College, where he was awarded an Honor Graduate Award for Superior Achievement and Excellence of Performance in Aviation Technology. He also has multiple certifications in aviation service, troubleshooting, and engine services, among others.
