Cessna has announced that its super-mid-size Citation Longitude will exceed initial performance targets.
The Longitude has achieved an improved range of 3,500 nautical miles, an increase of 100 nautical miles, and full fuel payload of 1,600 lb, an increase of 100 lb.
Following its unveiling at NBAA 2015 and first flight in October 2016, the Citation Longitude is on display at NBAA 2016, held in Orlando, Florida, on November 1-3. Certification is expected in 2017.
Highlights of the clean-sheet design include a 5,950ft cabin altitude; cabin technology that allows passengers to manage their environment and entertainment from any mobile device; and high-speed internet as standard. With seating for up to 12 passengers, the Longitude features a stand-up, flat-floor cabin with a standard double-club configuration and a walk-in baggage compartment that is fully accessible in flight.
