A B757 customized by TAG Aviation has recently completed one eight-day private charter and four pre-season private charters for several soccer teams from England, Scotland and other European countries. The company says clubs are increasingly using aircraft charters for international pre-season tours, to maximize publicity in new markets in preparation for the new season.
“The B757 has chartered premier football teams on one- and two-night stay-overs this summer to destinations including Astana, Gothenburg, Baku and Bremen,” said John Tarmar, director of B757 operations, TAG Aviation (UK). “TAG Aviation is delighted that we are able to offer our beautiful aircraft to the charter market for these extended periods. This exclusively equipped jet has received high praise from these premier football teams for providing such an amazing service, and club managers are already hoping to secure more charter availability in the near future.”
The aircraft is available for charter from October 10, 2016 to November 3, 2016 and from November 22, 2016 to February 21, 2017.
The B757, customized by TAG Aviation, offers two cabin configurations – one with 80 ‘VIP’ seats and 12 economy seats, and the other with 52 flatbed seats and nine economy seats. The cabin features mood lighting, hand-woven wool carpet, leather Iacobucci seating, upgraded bathrooms, steam ovens, wine fridges and wireless IFE. A specially trained crew travels with the aircraft.
