Comlux America of Indianapolis, Indiana, has signed its 12th VIP interior completion, for a BBJ 737-700IGW. The aircraft officially input into the facility in January 2016 and is scheduled to take approximately 14 months to complete and paint. The private customer is based in the Far East.
The VIP interior features a first-class area, a separate dining area and master bedroom/lavatory with rainfall shower. The contemporary design is by Comlux Creatives. The customer has requested a high degree of contrast in the colors so there will be varying shades of dark and light hues throughout, with small pops of vibrant colors.
The aircraft will feature CMS-controlled electric window shades, HD widescreen video monitors up to 50in in size, streaming AVOD content for 16 iPads, and an LED mood and wash lighting system. The BBJ can accommodate up to 15 full-flat sleeping positions. The aircraft will be certified for 19 taxi, take-off and landing (TT&L) seats with an additional three seats for cabin crew and five additional non-TT&L positions for private FAA Part 91 operations.
“We are very proud to have another new and prestigious client entrusting Comlux with this nose-to-tail VIP completion contract,” said Arnaud Martin, Comlux the Aviation Group’s executive vice president. “The experience level at Comlux America, coupled with the recent endorsement by the Boeing Business Jet office as an approved warranty center, further validates Comlux as a growing and global company, which the signing of this new BBJ completion also demonstrates.”
