Pilatus presented the 2016 model of its PC-12 NG at EBACE 2016 (held in Geneva, Switzerland, on May 24-26, 2016). The single-engine turboprop boasts a five-blade composite propeller (which Pilatus says keeps noise to a minimum) and a variety of aerodynamic enhancements resulting in a higher cruise speed, better take-off and climb performance and a greater range – all for the same fuel consumption.
Pilatus joined forces with Designworks, a BMW Group Company, to create a range of cabin designs, using new materials and colors. The two companies have been working together for over a decade. The PC-12 comes equipped with a toilet, a fully integrated luggage area and a completely flat floor.
The worldwide fleet of almost 1,400 PC-12s has now clocked up more than five million hours in the air.
