Jet Aviation St Louis has signed its first agreement to install Honeywell’s JetWave satellite communications terminals in a Global Express, to upgrade the inflight internet experience.
“The JetWave terminals provide much faster high-speed connectivity,” said David Loso, avionics sales, Jet Aviation St Louis. “Aircraft owners are always seeking the bigger, better, faster internet in the sky that JetWave delivers.”
Loso said the JetWave installation will be part of a major refurbishment on a Global Express.
Honeywell said the JetWave multi-channel terminals operate on Inmarsat Aviation’s GX Ka-band network, enabled by three satellites that cover the entire globe to provide broadband connectivity.
The terminals in the MCS-8000 model for business aircraft share the same antenna controller, modem and router hardware with a tail-mounted antenna.
