In January 2016, F/List and Fokker Services launched an aircraft interior development project. F/List was chosen as the cabinet supplier for a VIP interior being developed for COMAC’s ARJ21-700 regional jet.
The commission encompasses creating cabinetry/monuments for the entire cabin, including the galleys; the private suite, including the VIP lavatory; the lounge area; the conference/dining area; a business-class area; and the aft lavatory. Over the course of production, F/List will also employ its expertise in engineering, water system integration and wiring. F/List intends to deliver all the construction components to Fokker Services by the end of 2016.
Fokker Services announced its co-operation with COMAC in June 2015. The two companies are working together on developing the first Chinese-built VIP/business jet. Fokker Services will perform the design, testing and certification work. The conversion will be performed in Shanghai, China, by Shanghai Aircraft Manufacturing Company (SAMC), part of the Commercial Aircraft Corporation of China (COMAC), in a joint operation with Fokker Services specialists in China.
The aim is to build a top-quality, VIP-worthy business jet for an undisclosed Chinese customer. “Fokker Services is proud to be part of this first Chinese-built business jet and will use all its capabilities to help COMAC realize this great milestone,” said Ante de Wolf, project director at Fokker Services.
“Many international VIP suppliers have been selected by Fokker to make this happen.”
