Monaco-based Boutsen Design, which provides interior decoration services for VIP jets and residences, has launched into the complementary world of superyachts. Boutsen Design Yachting will draw on the 15 years’ experience and contacts of mother companies Boutsen Aviation and Boutsen Design to create bespoke luxury interiors.
Daniela Boutsen, founder and managing director of Boutsen Design, and Maxime Castellini-Ninio, former head of the Monaco Yacht Club members’ relations department, have joined forces as partners in the new venture. They previously worked together on a refurbishment project for Lord Foster, overseeing the interior decoration of the Monaco Yacht Club’s members-only cabins and the private dining room of its clubhouse. Boutsen and Castellini-Ninio will lead a team of 14.
“Boutsen Design is now established as a specialist in outfitting luxury interiors for business jets and residences, helping clients to choose the right theme and products from a broad and diverse range of suppliers,” said Boutsen. “In establishing Boutsen Design Yachting we are aiming to position ourselves as the go-to partner in the design process in this exciting sector, working on projects from the beginning, in close collaboration with interior designers.”
Boutsen Design Yachting will sponsor and participate in the Superyacht Design Symposium, to be held in Kitzbühel, Austria, on February 21-23, 2016. In addition, Boutsen Design Yachting will be an active participant in the Monaco Yachting Cluster.
