Jet Aviation St Louis has completed future aircraft navigation systems (FANS) installations in three Bombardier Challenger 604s, and has three scheduled. The installations are possible after Jet Aviation St Louis received FAA approval for an STC.
“These first three FANS installations in CL604s advance navigation technology demonstrate again that Jet Aviation St Louis is a global leader in aviation technology,” said Blake Hogge, senior manager, avionics sales at Jet Aviation St Louis. “We can complete the fully integrated FANS 1/A upgrade with minimal downtime and cost, all during a scheduled or unscheduled maintenance event.”
Jet Aviation St Louis collaborated with Rockwell Collins to develop the STC for the Challenger 604 FANS 1/A aftermarket solution. It includes the Automatic Dependent Surveillance-Contract and Controller Pilot Data Link Communication.
