A cabin public address (PA) and audio entertainment solution engineered for Embraer Phenom 100 and 300 aircraft has been launched by Alto Aviation.
The company’s acoustic engineers developed the PA system employing 100% fit compatible speakers and a digital amplifier for factory provisioned speaker locations on all Phenom 100 and 300 aircraft. This solution allows the flight crew to communicate with passengers without them having to wear intercom headsets. To make announcements, the flight crew selects the PA key on the audio panel, and a chime sounds.
The solution also enables passengers to plug in their personal media devices and listen to their music through an Alto Aviation digital sound system. Volume settings and music selection will be controlled through the passenger’s personal device. A PA event overrides any entertainment audio playing.
A second option includes four source inputs. Source inputs typically include XM radio, CD/DVD, auxiliary input and PA. Source selection and volume control will take place from an Alto Acapella VIP keypad. A secondary auxiliary input is also available at the keypad. The PA chime and PA override feature are also included. The PA system and both entertainment audio options outlined can be fully integrated with the existing Phenom 100 IFE package and basic and premium IFE packages in the Phenom 300.
