Satair Group has signed an exclusive distribution agreement with FTI covering the Americas and Asia-Pacific, including China. Effective from July 1, 2015, the deal covers FTI’s full line of on-aircraft video-based surveillance solutions and upgrade programs. The equipment covers cabin, cockpit, cargo compartment, intrusion detection and ground operation support across Airbus, Boeing, Embraer and Bombardier fleets. Under the terms of the agreement, Satair Group will provide aftermarket sales, marketing, distribution and AOG support.
“Immediate detection of everyday incidents may prevent major damage, economic loss and damage of reputation,” said Steen Karsbo, vice president of business development at Satair Group. “FTI leverages a long legacy of technical expertise and its modular system architecture provides a unique range of solutions for customers across all types of aircraft.”
With this agreement, FTI expands into entirely new markets. Today, FTI has a presence in Europe and the Middle East. From now on, Satair Group will act as the key enabler to the American and Asia-Pacific markets through technical selling and implementation of FTI’s product upgrade programs.
“Satair Group is unique in the sense that it offers a high level of service through comprehensive marketing, sales, warehousing and logistics management capabilities worldwide,” said Michael Weisel, CEO of FTI.
“Satair Group’s thorough experience in upgrade programs, its technically skilled product managers and proactive sales teams in the relevant regions, mean that they are specialized in converting all retrofit opportunities for FTI in the best possible way. It is our expectation that this partnership with Satair Group will ensure that we bring more value to customers.”
