Aviation Fabricators (AvFab) has received European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) STC approval for the installation of its Beechcraft 36/58 stretcher kit for the Beechcraft 36 Bonanza and 58 Baron aircraft.
The stretcher kit provides an operator with the option of transporting an ill or injured patient. The company says it is an alternative to a complete medevac system, ideal for an operator who doesn’t need critical care medical equipment.
“Receiving EASA approval is a big step towards reaching our goal to make these stretcher kits available to operators around the world,” said G R Lowe, co-founder, AvFab.
“We will continue to pursue these certifications on many of our products in order to offer complete solutions for operators no matter where they are located.”
The stretcher kit includes the stretcher unit and cover, Ferno model 12-1 folding aero litter (with square ends), mattress, mattress cover, installation instructions, and weight and balance data. Ferno model 1402 (with tapered ends) is also available. The installation involves removing three passenger seats and installing the stretcher on existing seat attach points.
