The current COO of Comlux America, Scott Meyer, will become CEO of the completion and service center on April 1, 2015.
Meyer started his career in aviation more than 25 years ago, with a focus on VIP interior modifications. He has been with Comlux America since 2009, almost since the inception of the company. Indeed, he was the second management individual recruited at the company and has played an integral part in the development of the company, taking on everything from working as a recruiter and salesman to managing employees in all areas of the business. In his first role as vice president of engineering, Meyer created and developed the engineering department of the company. In 2011 he was promoted to vice president of operations and since early 2014 he has held the COO position, serving as second in command to the CEO.
“Today the Comlux Group is positioned to further progress our brand with the advent of our new wide-body facility extension and first wide-body VVIP completion program,” said Meyer. “With an unwavering sense of duty to our clients, employees, shareholders and business partners, I am proud and excited to bring the next first for Comlux.”
Meyer replaces current CEO Jim Soleo, who will continue to support and work with Comlux Aviation’s board of directors. “I wish to express to Jim my extreme gratitude for the great work he has achieved as the CEO of Comlux America,” said Richard Gaona, chairman and CEO of Comlux the Aviation Group. “The board of directors and I fully support and stand behind Scott in his new role of CEO as he continues to grow the company.”
