Custom Control Concepts (CCC) provided its SkyOne IFE and CMS for AgustaWestland’s AW609 executive cabin mockup (pictured) at Heli-Expo 2015 (held in Orlando, Florida, USA, on March 2-5). The setup included wireless IFE streaming to iPads, the SkyShow Flight Information System, lighting controls and more.
More than 60 AW609 TiltRotor aircraft have been ordered, for roles including offshore transportation, EMS and patient transfer, search and rescue, VIP and parapublic operations. FAA certification for the helicopter is expected in 2017.
CCC also showcased the SkyOne system on its own booth at the show. SkyOne is an all-in-one IFE and CMS solution designed to be light in weight and compact, fitting into a single box. It includes high-definition audio and video on-demand, the SkyShow Flight Information System, PA integration, control of windowshades and other cabin features, camera integration, and wireless iPad control for IFE and CMS.
The company also showcased its SkyOne Wireless Integrated Communication (WAP) system, which it says adds enhanced inflight communications and entertainment to the SkyOne system. CCC says the SkyOne-WAP system integrates standard ICS functions and syncs with IFE audio and iPads to provide each passenger with clear communications and personal entertainment. SkyOne-WAP compact provides wi-fi and Bluetooth connectivity, passenger communication functions, and paired IFE audio with Apple devices. As it is wireless, passengers can move about the cabin while staying fully connected.
