Haitec Aircraft Maintenance of Germany has been granted repair station approval by the US FAA. “It has been a while in the making but the FAA approval is a significant achievement for Haitec as it allows us to widen our customer base and to offer our services to operators of N-registered aircraft worldwide,” said Frank Rott, CEO at Haitec. “We expect noteworthy growth as a direct result of this approval, in both our maintenance facilities at Hahn Airport and our VIP aircraft maintenance facility in Erfurt.”
As an EASA Part-145 organization, Haitec holds approvals from the civil aviation organizations of Russia, Qatar, the UAE, Azerbaijan and Bermuda, and now the FAA, for a broad range of Boeing and Airbus aircraft as well as Gulfstream business jets.
In 2014, Haitec announced a €30m three-year expansion program, including the establishment of the new VIP aircraft maintenance line in Erfurt; tooling and equipment for additional aircraft types; production efficiency methodologies and information systems; the acquisition of an existing hangar; and purchase of surrounding land for the construction of a second maintenance facility. Scheduled to be operational in 2016, the new hangar will have capacity for the A380 and incorporate support shop capability, a parts warehouse, and a two-story office complex, totaling 17,000m².
