Terry Cox has joined Skandia as flammability manager. “Our flammability testing and certification services are an integral segment of Skandia’s business,” said Gary Palmer, president at Skandia. “Our customers are relying on us to provide not only the best testing and certification services, but also to deliver the results in a very timely manner. Terry’s management experience and efficiency expertise will be invaluable in our being able to better meet our customers’ needs.”
Skandia offers a range of flammability and smoke toxicity testing and certification capabilities, to aircraft manufacturers, airlines, MROs and completion centers around the world.
“Skandia is unrivaled in its experience and capabilities in these critical safety areas and I’m looking forward to contributing my skill sets to an already amazing Skandia team,” Cox said. “Flammability testing and certification is an incredibly important aspect to safe air travel and I’m here helping everyone in our department continue to deliver an efficient and high-quality solution to our customers.
“In today’s highly competitive market, aircraft manufacturers and modifiers cannot wait for critical flammability approvals,” Cox continued. “One of my priorities is to find ways where we can implement the latest digital tools and best practices to further streamline these critical certification and approval processes.”
Prior to joining Skandia, Cox was the project manager – safety management systems subject matter expert for Comply365. Before that he was the director of safety and security for Ryan International Airlines. Cox is a licensed pilot, certified flight instructor and a graduate of Rock Valley College.
