CTT Systems and Airbus Corporate Jets plan to optimize CTT’s VIP Inflight Humidification (IFH) system for the ACJ320 family. The system is designed to increase VIP cabin humidity to more than 20%, to combat problems related to dry air, including fatigue, jet lag, red eyes, dry skin and the spread of viruses.
The system utilizes evaporative cooling technology developed to preclude the transfer of bacteria and improve air quality by reducing particles in the cabin air. The solution also includes a dryer to avoid moisture build-up in insulation blankets.
“Airbus corporate jets lead in the comfort and space that they deliver to passengers and introducing the option of better cabin humidification is part of our focus on continually improving the travel experience,” said Benoit Defforge, president at Airbus Corporate Jets.
“Our shared goal is to create evenly distributed humidification throughout the VIP cabins of Airbus corporate jets, while minimizing the amount of potable water needed, bringing the benefit of our airliner experience to the world of private jets in an optimized and economic way,” said Peter Landquist, vice president of sales and marketing at CTT Systems.
