Bombardier is celebrating the 20th anniversary of its Global Completion Center in Montreal, Canada this year with the ramp up of activities surrounding its Global 7000 business jet.
The Canadian aircraft-maker has also expanded the local workforce in Montreal by 500 and plans to add another 500, it said.
Paul Simard, vice president of operations at Bombardier’s Global Completion Center in Montreal, said, “This exciting milestone represents 20 years of contributing to Montreal’s aerospace industry and the immense success of Bombardier’s flagship Global aircraft.
“This anniversary also highlights the superior quality, workmanship and expertise delivered at the Global Completion Center, demonstrating Bombardier’s position as a leader in the business aircraft industry.”
All five test vehicles in the Global 7000 program are now in flight. Bombardier says the aircraft is on track for entry-into-service during the second half of 2018.
