Brian Durrence has been named as Gulfstream’s new vice president of engineering. He reports to Dan Nale, senior vice president of programs, engineering and test at Gulfstream.
A 25-year Gulfstream veteran, Durrence started with the company as a structural engineer in 1990 and rose through the ranks to project engineer and project engineering manager before becoming chief engineer in 2010. He has worked on various aircraft programs during his tenure, including the GIV-SP, GV, G450, G550, G650 and G650ER.
In his new role, Durrence is responsible for establishing the strategic vision of the engineering organization, identifying and implementing best practices and ensuring the correct engineering skills are in place for designing, integrating, testing and certifying Gulfstream aircraft.
