Bell Helicopter has launched a new helicopter, the Bell 407GXi, featuring new executive interior options, as well as new avionics and an upgraded engine. The helicopter has been certified by Transport Canada, and the first delivery should be made in spring 2018.
“We are always looking at ways to innovate our current product line to provide our customers with the most capable, dependable and technologically advanced aircraft in the market,” said Susan Griffin, executive vice president, commercial business, Bell Helicopter. “The Bell 407GXi delivers improved pilot awareness, higher precision navigation, enhanced engine controls and improved connectivity.”
Bell says the new executive options modernize the look and experience of the five-seat cabin. Other highlights include Garmin’s G1000H NXi integrated flight deck, the new Rolls-Royce M250-C47E/4 dual-channel FADEC turbine engine, and health monitoring for system diagnostics. The helicopter can cruise at 133kts (246km/h).
