Production has begun on the first ACJ320neo. Elements are already taking shape at different sites across Europe, to be joined in final assembly in June 2018. Acropolis Aviation in the UK is scheduled to take delivery of the first green aircraft in the last quarter of 2018.
This delivery is the first of nine orders for the ACJ320neo family – the order book includes three ACJ319neo and six ACJ320neo. Delivery of the first ACJ319neo is planned to take place in the second quarter of 2019, to K5 Aviation in Germany.
The ACJ320neo family will be highlighted by Airbus Corporate Jets (ACJ) at EBACE 2018, to be held in Geneva, Switzerland, on May 29-31. ACJ’s stand will be shared with Airbus Corporate Helicopters. The display will also include two of today’s ACJ319s.
“New engines and Sharklets enable the ACJ320neo family to link even more of the world non-stop, in a large and comfortable cabin that is the envy of other business jet manufacturers,” said Benoit Defforge, president at ACJ.
The ACJ319neo can fly eight passengers 6,750 nautical miles (12,500km) or 15 hours, while the ACJ320neo can transport 25 passengers 6,000 nautical miles (11,100km) or 13 hours. More than 190 ACJs are currently in service – flying on every continent, including Antarctica.
