An avionics upgrade for the Learjet 75 and Learjet 70 is in flight testing. The Bombardier Vision flight deck on both aircraft features the Garmin G5000 avionics suite. The upgrade will be available for linefit and retrofit.
Bombardier says the update will bring workload reducing improvements, including climb, cruise and descent vertical navigation and enhanced take-off and landing performance calculations. FANS 1/A+ will be offered as an option, ensuring readiness for modernized airspace requirements.
“Avionics is one of the fastest-evolving systems on a modern aircraft and the upgrade will make sure our Learjet 75 and Learjet 70 business jet customers remain ahead of the curve,” said Peter Likoray, senior vice president, worldwide sales and marketing, Bombardier Business Aircraft. “The Learjet 75 and Learjet 70 aircraft are the definitive business productivity tools for today and tomorrow.”
“Learjet aircraft are symbols of innovation, efficiency and performance and the G5000 update perfectly enhances the performance and reliability of this iconic business jet family,” said Carl Wolf, vice president of aviation sales and marketing at Garmin. “We are pleased to partner with Bombardier Business Aircraft to provide these highly anticipated updates to our mutual customers.”
The Learjet 70 is a light-mid-sized business aircraft that accommodates six passengers and two crew members. The Learjet 75 light jet has an eight-seat double-club configuration and features a flat floor throughout the cabin.
