The Head-Up Display (HUD) and Enhanced Vision System for the Embraer Legacy 450 and Legacy 500 have been awarded certification by Brazil’s ANAC, the FAA and EASA. Embraer has combined the two systems into the Embraer Enhanced Vision System (E2VS) to raise situational awareness in all phases of flight and enable more missions to be safely completed in inclement weather and low visibility.
“The Legacy 450 and Legacy 500 are the first aircraft to set this new standard of operational performance in the mid-light and mid-size segments,” said Marco Tulio Pellegrini, president and CEO, Embraer Executive Jets. “Combined with these aircrafts’ full fly-by-wire technology, the E2VS delivers innovation previously only available in much larger business aircraft, at a fraction of the price.”
The E2VS option consists of a compact HUD, incorporating Rockwell Collins’s new Head-up Guidance System (HGS) and its multi-spectral EVS-3000 Enhanced Vision System. The HUD integrates fully with Rockwell Collins’s Pro Line Fusion avionics suite.
The Legacy 500 and Legacy 450 entered service in 2014 and 2015, respectively.
