C&L Aviation Group is celebrating its 25th anniversary. From humble beginnings, the company has grown and now serves customers worldwide, providing various services for regional and corporate aircraft – including parts, maintenance, refurbishment, engineering, modifications, support programmes, sales and re-marketing.
“The last 25 years have had plenty of challenges, but it’s humbling to have so many amazing people here who are so dedicated and are continually striving to satisfy our customers,” said Chris Kilgour, CEO at C&L.
Kilgour started the company in 1994 from his basement in Brisbane, Australia, selling aircraft parts to the Australian Air Force before making a global name for the company in the Saab 340 aftermarket parts business. In 2010 he expanded into maintenance with the acquisition of Telford Aviation in Bangor, Maine.
The company now has more than 250 employees. As well as a 140,000ft² (13,006m²) facility in Bangor, it has warehouses and sales office around the globe. The company offers parts and services on many aircraft types, both corporate and regional, and specialises in ERJ 135/145, ATR 42/72, Saab 340, Dash-8, CRJ 200/700, Challenger 601-604, Hawker 800, Beechjet 400, Citations and more.
“We have experienced exceptional growth over the last few years and plan on that continuing as we continue to build our vertically integrated aviation company,” said Kilgour.
