Aero-Dienst recently marked an anniversary. The company was appointed as a recognised maintenance facility for the PT6, JT15 and PW300 engine series by Pratt & Whitney Canada Customer Service Centre (P&WC CSC) in 1993.
Aero-Dienst provides business aviation and air ambulance services, and is headquartered in Nuremberg, Germany.
In the early 1990s, Aero-Dienst operated two Hawker 1000s (PW305B) and a Beech KingAir350 (PT6A-60A), and their engines were maintained by Aero-Dienst’s own engine team. In 1996, Aero-Dienst became a P&WC premium service provider (PSP), and in June 2020 it was appointed as a designated maintenance facility (DMF) for PW300 series engines.
“We’re extremely proud of the 30 years of valuable and successful cooperation with Pratt & Whitney Canada during which we’ve supported P&WC engines in Europe,” said Andrea Weyrich, manager, maintenance engine shop at Aero-Dienst. “Our highly trained and experienced engine team has made it possible to maintain such a high degree of quality over the years. Dennis Baker, Aero Dienst’s licensed inspector for all PW300 engines, has been part of the Aero-Dienst family for over 30 years. He knows the P&WC engines down to the last bolt, and he has already supported over 250 various events for our engine shop throughout the world.”
Baker added: “All totalled, our team can boast 86 years of straight technical experience with P&WC engines – 132 years including the admin staff.”
For the past 16 years, Aero-Dienst has also carried out hundreds of post-rental inspections (PRIs) for P&WC on its lease engines that are used in a range of aircraft, such as the Dassault Falcon 7X and 8X and the Bombardier Learjet 60/60XR. Several hundred AOG and MRT support events have been completed over the years, with the Aero-Dienst team providing support to aircraft operators throughout Europe, as well as in Africa, Australia and the Near East.
“We are delighted and enthusiastic to work with Pratt & Whitney Canada,” said Weyrich. “Our collaboration has developed steadily over the decades and continues to benefit European aircraft operators.”
“We value Aero-Dienst’s performance in supporting Pratt & Whitney Canada customers in EMEA throughout our long-standing relationship with hundreds of engines serviced via mobile repair teams and post rental inspections,” said Ismael Rhissa Zakary, managing director, P&WC CSC Europe. “Aero-Dienst consistently goes above and beyond in ensuring excellence is achieved while keeping our customers flying.”
As well as its Nuremberg headquarters, Aero-Dienst also operates a maintenance station in Oberpfaffenhofen near Munich, Germany, as well as two stations in Austria (Vienna and Klagenfurt). A component shop in Landsberg am Lech, Germany, allows Aero-Dienst to provide local repairs for maintenance operators in Europe, the Middle East and Africa.
